How do I get rid of yellow stains on my armpits white coats?
I can only wear white coats to work. I live in a place very hot, 40 minutes by car to work with n / a ch is why I'm sweating like a pig on my armpits and my shirts are yellow. I tried bleach, baking soda and vinegar, shouting, Oxyclean but nothing works. I can not afford to buy more shirts. Please Help
Here are some tips (experts) to remove perspiration stains from your shirts - I have personally tried two, but they worked very well for me, you'll have to experiment and see which ones work for you (also, please see the reference sites below as they are in much more detail!) 1) Use a simple detergent - to try to contain oxygenates, or those who claim to remove stains based proteins such as food and grass stains. Apply the detergent on the affected area and leave the rest for 30 minutes. Then wash as usual and air dry. 2) Use a solution of hydrogen peroxide to remove sweat stains on white fabrics. It reacts with proteins in the residue of sweat and breaks down. Mix equal amounts of hydrogen peroxide and water and pour the liquid on the stain that allows it to soak for at least 30 minutes. Always wash in cool water and air dry. If stain still remains, soak it for another 30 minutes in a solution with a heavier dose of hydrogen peroxide. 3) Use cream of tartar and aspirin: May seem like an odd combination but it has apparently been known to work wonders. Make a paste with a tablespoon of cream of tartar (you can find at the grocery store in the baking aisle) three aspirins crushed full strength (they must be white and not colored coating) and cup of warm water and rub the stained area with an old toothbrush. Leave it for about 20-30 minutes. Rinse the affected area in warm water until dough is completely removed. 4) Martha Stewart suggests this natural remedy to whiten fabrics, socks and sheets: Fill a large pot with water, drop several lemon halves and bring to a boil, then turn off the fire. Give your clothes and towels home and let them soak for an hour, then remove and wash as usual. Other suggestions: Try wearing T-shirts, cheap under your shirt outside good to protect against sweat stains in the underarm region. Also, if possible, carry a change of shirts with you so that you can change at least one times during the day. Avoid wearing shirts of synthetic fabric - instead wear natural fabrics like cotton allows your skin breathe and permit sweat to dry faster. Note: NEVER iron a shirt (or other tissue) that has become discolored by perspiration because the heat of the iron further define the spots! last ditch desperate measure: Ask your doctor for a prescription deodorant - some brands include Drysol, Driclor for those who have acute underarm sweating and Certain Dri Maxim and 5 days for less severe cases of underarm perspiration.
